05.08.2002 :: One Sock Done
Finished one of the Opal Southwestern Socks today. Time to start on the mate. Here's the finished sock, presented by Spencer, offical sock inspector, sniffer and used-to-be chewer.

Mary, I love your Opal sock (not to mention the lovely spokesmodel)! I just received a ball in that colorway this week so now I'm looking forward to knitting mine even more.
Thanks for your Luskentyre comments on my blog -- funny thing, I was just checking out the photo of yours on your website this morning before I came to work! Seeing your photos a couple of months ago is what cemented my decision to knit this design, btw. :-)
My photos are just a shade darker than real life -- I'm taking them indoors with a flash and that darkens things up a bit. The only colors that are real close are the pink and bright pink (did we have a discussion about this before?) but at a distance you can definitely see the difference.
When we're both done, we ought to have a Luskentyre party. :-)

Love the sock! Love the sniffer too! I really have to finish the second sock of the set I'm working on right now. Then I will be down to 3 WIPs! (I only have about 30 in mind...)
