I have not progressed on Luskentyre at all since I started the Opal socks. Apparently, I'm not a multi-tasker when it comes to knitting projects. I'm currently turning the heel on the second Opal sock. No picture to post, since the sock looks just like the first one.

I was questioning myself regarding whether I would try to match the patterns on the two socks. My co-worker (my friend Tony, who is too "manly" to be interested knitting, but seems to be looking over my shoulder whenever I knit and asking questions!), thought that matching the patterns would be highly desirable (not that he really cares about knitting or anything :-D ). So I matched the pattern. It was pretty easy and I only had to "waste" about a foot or so of yarn. These are going to be a present, so I have to get them done in the next few days!
