09.11.2003 :: Mmmm Yarn
I started a new pair of socks yesterday. I wound this yarn into a ball a few months ago and it's been whispering to me from the drawer where I had stored it. "Please make me into some socks. Please." Okay, okay.
I like to work on socks while I'm on conference calls at work. It makes the calls bearable and I actually concentrate better on the call than I do when I'm not knitting.
This yarn was purchased from the Over The Rainbow Yarns Ebay store. This is the twinkletoes yarn. The yarn color is called Summer. As with many photos of yarn on the web, the auction pictures only hint at how beautiful the actual yarn is.
I started with a figure-8 toe (I use the method published by Kim Salazar). I'm going to browse through my stitch books to find a textural stitch that will compliment this yarn.

I love the twinkletoes yarn too, I got it in a "flame" colorway that is just great :)

I love that yarn. I just purchased some yarn from Over The Rainbow Yarns on ebay and I trust I will like mine as much as yours. Can't wait to see the socks.

I'm looking at their lace yarn, I'm waiting for Maryann to dye the lace weight in the colorway I like the best and then I'll be all over it!

That sock yarn is so beautiful it tempts this knitter to knit another pair of socks. Miracles never cease. ;)
