11.15.2003 :: Indigo Moon Fiber

this feels like very lightly processed cotton - very soft
close-up

Last night I finished spinning my little pile of Indigo Moon Alpaca-Merino-Silk fiber. So luxurious and just in time for a much needed pair of soft, warm mittens. Yes, this is from the same batt of beautiful fiber that Kerstin also just spun!

Absolutely beautiful! I wish I knew how to spin - someday, I'm going to learn.

Beautiful yarn. I wish I could spin, I want to try someday. BTW, did you make that quilt, it is gorgeous.

That is one stunning skein of yarn! Those mittens will certainly be toasty!!

Oh, yours is so much prettier! I can't wait until I'm a grown-up spinner. So I had two different colorways in my batts. One was purple/green and the other was pink/yellow, green, blue. I spun them separately and then plyed them together. It didn't occur to me until I was done that I probably should've alternated between the batts. Live and yearn. ;)

Now, you are making me wish I had broken down and bought some of that--your skein is beautiful!

What mitten pattern will you use? Or will you make it up on the fly?

I can't wait till I make something useable with my handspun.
