11.22.2003 :: Totally Trivial
One of my favorite TV quotes of all time is from M*A*S*H and it came out of the mouth of Frank Burns. "It's nice to be nice to the nice". I've been reminded of this quote alot over the past several days because of all of the people that I "chat" with and work with. It's been a nice week!
Of course, thanks to Google, I was able to find a Frank Burns quote site. Many of the other funny quotes from the show, if not said by Frank, were directed at him.
Frank: "Could we please stop talking about underwear so I can tell you about..."
Hawkeye, "Sure, Frank, but make it brief."
Yes, these quotes really do crack me up. It's the little things that add that extra bit of silliness to life! more M*A*S*H quotes.
Well, a little bit more of an explanation about how M*A*S*H fit into my life. Around my freshman year of high school, M*A*S*H was still on as a new show, but was also in re-runs. On a Monday night, I could watch five shows in the evening if I was feeling particularly motivated to watch TV (7pm, 7:30pm, 9pm, 11pm, 11:30pm). 
If the homework load was light and there was no competition for the TV in my mom's room, then I wouldn't have to mish-mash. heh!
The only other show that ever captured my attention to this degree was The Newhart Show...but that's another story.

We watched MASH all the time at my house, every time it was on, every day. I literally grew up on it. We still have our BetaMax tape of the last episode somewhere.

i love both the newhart shows, and the last episode of the new show with suzanne pleshette in bed was a killer!

I also watched MASH; but must not of been as big a fan as you; as I can't quote the times it came on!:) However, I was not in control of the t.v. We only had one t.v. in the house and of course Dad was in control of the nightly viewing schedule. I think he probably only allowed us kids to watch along so we could be his "human remotes"...back then, there was no such thing as a hand held remote control...man am I starting to feel old!
