03.08.2004 :: Everyday Completed!

earthy

Hooray! I finished the Everyday Cardigan. I spent yesterday afternoon finishing up the seaming on the cardigan and am happy to report much greater succes than I had last weekend.

coconut buttons

Today I went and picked out some buttons and this cozy sweater is ready to wear. I went with buttons made out of coconut that I picked up at JoAnne's. I really like the way they look. They're very casual and blend in nicely with the rustic look of the yarn.

I was just writing up my Peace Fleece post and thought of your little accident. No, Mary, it's not PIECE fleece! *teehee* Your cardi is gorgeous and I'm betting you'll get YEARS of enjoyment out of it. Those buttons are pretty special, too. Congrats!

That is one beautiful Piece of Fleece. It made me happy just to see the virtual version. You have the most beautiful photos! Love the buttons. Congrats!

Oh I am so envious, and not for the reason you think! Your sweater is, of course, beeyootiful, but your photo has captured pefectly that glorious look and feel of a newly blocked and seamed garment. Makes me want to reach into the moniter, pull it out and wrap it around myself (after I have cuddled it a few minutes). I will be coming back to look at this post often, that is for sure. How do you take such pretty pictures? Teach me! Teach me!

Really pretty sweater!! Your buttons blend perfectly. I may have to look for some Peace Fleece.

How lovely and exciting to have seen the yarn in person and now to see it finished on your blog. Glad you had fun with the GSRP!

It is truly a beautiful sweater! The buttons are perfect~ I love that close up picture. The flecks of color are so pretty. Can't wait to get started on mine.

What color is your peace fleece?

Very cool buttons. I hope you get lots of wear from your lovely sweater. I have a 15% off coupon at Halycon. It's burning a hole in my pocket. Maybe I should do an everyday cardigan.

Meant to ask you, how was the Alexandra Fuller book? Would you recommend?

Very nice still life photography. I'm surprised that no-one has harrassed (sp?) you yet about the lack of a model. If not you, then Spencer!

Beautiful!!!

How beautiful! The buttons you chose are great with the textured, tweedy fabric! What about taking the "headless" shot of you wearing it? It'd be nice to see the way it fits...

Posted by: Silvia on 03.08.2004 AT 07:37 PM

Love the buttons. Love the cardi. I am having some serious peace fleece envy these days.

Hello there. What a wonderful sweater! It makes me want to make one for me. Or use the yarn to make a similar sweater.

Just wonderful.

Posted by: sean on 03.08.2004 AT 08:26 PM

Oh, nicely done - they should replace the picture on the Peace Fleece website with yours - you make the cardigan look delicious.

Posted by: Donna on 03.08.2004 AT 08:49 PM

She's beautiful! Excellent job. I hope you love wearing it. And think of us Halcyon gals when you do! ;0)

PS - Just caught the Spaulding Gray news a few hours ago myself. It's so sad. I mean you knew it was coming, but it's still a blow to read that it's finally certain.

Is is so wrong that I want a sweater just like yours? I promise to check with you every time I wear it to make sure that we don't show up somewhere wearing the same thing.
