04.21.2005 :: Spring Breaking

More knitting has been completed on the top down mittens. The colors in this yarn are delightful to knit with. There are so many variations, that I'm finding color inspiration in each individual row and could imagine a whole skein of each of the different combinations.
Perhaps with the forecast of cold weather in Ohio over the weekend, some dyeing will get done!

Lovin' the blog. Lovin' the yarn. Can I only get yarn like that if I spin it myself? Is it for sale already spun? ;-)

Beautiful spinning Mary, I love how the colors ply together. Question--did you spin one ply tighter than the other--your yarn has a nice twist going on there!

I stumbled onto your blog yesterday - I can't tell you how much I like the yarn you have spun. It is absolutely beautiful. As for The Known World, I have it on my bedside table but haven't even opened it ... I listen to books on CD (I've asked for an Ipod mini and an Audible membership for Mother's Day) so I was so happy to have found someone else who listens to books. As for books to listen to, I can tell you that Jonathan Safron Foer "Everything is Illuminated" is not a book to listen to on CD - I am only barely into the first disc and I am starting to lose my mind - the reading in the different voices (actually, the reading period)detracts from the book (which everyone tells me is sooo funny but I can tell you, so far, not so funny).
I am reading Jonathan Strange for K1R2 but I can't keep up. I read and read and read and do not seem to be going anywhere. I really like the book but it is long long long. How is it to listen to?
Oh, and your web designs ... Fantastic. I need to update mine but really know nothing about css or html or whatever so should be fun (or not so much)

Mary, that is the amazing Technicolor dream yarn! I can't believe it - did you dye it this way or did you buy roving already dyed?
