06.19.2005 :: My Dad

When I was just a baby.

My Dad and me. 1966.

Fall 1968. Dad, David and me

My Dad, my brother David and me. 1968.

On Dad's Birthday

My Dad and me. 2002. (He looks like he's mad in this picture, but he's not. This is about a year after he had a serious stroke that almost took his life. Part of his face was affected by the stroke.)

Laughing

I love this picture of my Dad. Throughout his life he has always the most pure and wonderful sense of humor. He tells the best stories - stories that we ask him to tell even though we've heard them hundreds of times. He taught me to always be good, honest and true. And he demonstrates these qualities everyday of his life.

I love my Dad.

Great pics! What a nice tribute to Dad. (He looks like a sweetie, too. Surprise, surprise!)

Wonderful. And yes, not a surprise that you were raised by a sweet man...apples don't fall far.

Makes me misty-eyed. I lost my dad over 30 years ago and I still miss him. Some times more than others and especially around Christmas which isn't far from his birthday. He wasn't perfect by far, but he was my dad and I loved him dearly, his jokes, his little songs. He called me Boo for most of my life. Who'd ever think they'd miss being called Boo? :)
