The concept?
To get the treat, you must give up the treat.

Ok, I didn't realize that "Doggie Zen" had an actual link! The bit about self-control is interesting, M.
"What does this have to do with 'Zen'? Simply that the way to get food out of the handler's hand is to stay away from the hand. The more the dog wants the food, the harder she has to pretend that she doesn't want it."
Hmmmmm. Maybe I'll be sending Pete to "Husband Zen" soon!

Fun and interesting post. I love the look the dogs are giving to each other... it looks as if they are saying to each other, " I'll look away if you look away... I'm still looking away... we got to keep acting like you don't care... la, la, la..."
