11.30.2005 :: I like a project I can finish...
in just a few hours.

This is the little sweater from the Weekend Knitting book (Here's free online pattern). I don't have any eggs that need to be cosy right now, but knitting up this little sweater has been itching at the back of my mind ever since I saw Kerstin's sweaters and then Annie's post from the other day.
This little one was knit with some handspun yarn that I bought a couple of years ago from an ebay seller. I started another one last night with my own handspun and ran out of yarn! Unless I want to leave it as a vest, I need to find some other yarn to use for the sleeves.
And, just so you all don't think my dogs are always well-behaved, here is a picture of how my house looked when I came home for lunch today. Ellie found a bag of polyester quilt batting and it looks like the two of them had a party while ripping it to shreds. Naturally, it's more fun to wrestle in a big pile of batting than it is to wrestle on a nice clean rug.

This is a shot of doggie wrestling in action. At least two to three hours a day is dedicated to this activity. (Yes, that is Katy on the bottom. She likes to let Ellie believe she's winning and then at the last minute she turns over and pins her. Actually, it's a patented move that Katy perfected by practicing on the kitties called The Katy Press.)

Whoops, they let the side down there didn't they and photographed for all the world to see. I won't show Disney in case she gets any ideas!

It's refreshing to see that they have a wicked side...at least quilt batting is pretty easy to clean up.
Adorable mini sweater... and your swatches have been blowing me away. :)

Great wrestling picture :) Ours do that a lot too with either male or female on top....
Well trained dogs can still be "normal" and sometimes do not resist temptations like that ;)

So glad I'm not the only one who experiences "doggies gone wild" on a regular basis. I came upstairs last night to find one of my dpns torn to shreds. Thanks, Jack! Came into my office to find roving pulled across the floor. Again, thanks, Jack! Sigh.
Adorable, little sweater. But why, pray tell, would one need a sweater for an EGG?!? Too funny.

What an adorable sweater. Just another thing to tempt me away from work and the list of "To Do" associated with the Christmas season!

The little sweater is adorable! Thanks for the free link. I actually have relative who like to eat soft-boiled eggs and put them in little egg-cups to eat after the rest of breakfast.

How do you show your displeasure at their naughty behavior without laughing?

Your sweater is oh-so-sweet especially with handspun! What a perfect way to use up small amounts. For some reason the idea never occured to me. Julia has a pattern too ~ http://mindofwinter.prettyposies.com/archives/000126.html
Your dogs are great - I like Katy's strategy! :D

Your little sweater is adorable. And the dog wrestling picture could have been taken in our living room. I love when the dogs do the super fast head shake when they have something in their mouth. Although I occassionally wonder if it makes their necks stiff.

I am laughing my ass off at the fact that you ran out of yarn while working on a sweater the size of an egg. :D

Hi there! I love the mini sweater. I've always been interested in mini knits! Hey, maybe that's a book!

Wow, Katy and Ellie make my three look EZ! Never again will I complain about picking up Legos and doll clothes.
Be careful, those mini sweaters are addictive. :)

What a cute mini-sweater. I just read through your swatching entries -- very interesting and informative. I love how the Cascade 220 looks -- such a versatile and still affordable choice.

Wow, look at him go! I bet that left a huge mess to be cleaned up.
The cactus bloom is beautiful.

I love those little sweaters! What a great idea to use them as gift tags! The dogs look like they had a blast dissect the batting bag.
