11.16.2005 :: New Dog!
A new dog to help guard my house. And this little guy looks tough.

I picked him up at an antique/secondhand shop on Saturday. I love visiting these types of shops, though I usually end up in sensory overload - I find it hard to decide whether to look for books, search for cute little pieces of pottery or dive into a pile of hand-embroidered linens. I think this heavy-metal doggie was a pretty fun find. He now stands guard on the fireplace hearth and is quite striking.
My blue mittens are finished and are blocking. Normally, I don't block mittens, but this Bartlett Yarns wool comes alive in the washing and blocking process.
My next project is going to involve swatching up some of that Jamieson's wool, though I am being tempted by other yarns...

This is Cascade 220 Superwash in a fun group of colors. Perhaps these will make up a preppy little tennis sweater for Ellie.

When I saw "new dog", I was hoping you had gotten that little guy from the shelter. This dog looks like he will be much easier to care for! :)

Oooooo, I'm scared by the wittle doggie! I'm with Annie, now THIS is my kind of dog! Yes, bring on the tennis knits for Ellie. :)

My, isn't he a handsome fellow!
Very cheery colors in the Cascade Superwash, it will make a lovely sweater.

My Jasper would have barked at the new one. Back when my Sasha was alive, we moved into a new house. We let her and Ivan out into the back yard and after a little while we heard her barking furiously. She'd found a little stone donkey garden ornament left out there and was valiantly holding it at bay. :)

Do you think the little dog needs a little sweater?
